Gazzetta dello Sport says the fullback wishes to leave Chelsea for a return to Serie A.
The former Fiorentina defender wants to join Inter Milan this summer.
Chelsea are asking for €15-20m for Alonso, whereas Inter would prefer a loan with option to buy.
It's reported in Italy that Alonso is pushing Chelsea to let him leave, but his contract runs to June 2023.
The English club paid €23m to sign Alonso from Fiorentina in 2016.
