Manchester United captain Harry Maguire reveals he spoke with Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher after his arrest in Greece last summer.
Maguire, who is starring for England at Euro 2020 as they prepare for a semi final against Denmark, was found guilty for assault, resisting arrest and the attempted bribery of a police officer.
Asked about the days and weeks after that incident, Maguire mentioned the support he got from his club, country and a few surprise sources.
He said, per ESPN: "It was one thing when you go through bad moments, you realise the people who support you and Jamie was one of numerous people and ex-players who got in contact and spoke with me.
"Obviously I'm not going to read out what was said and spoken about but it was great support, it means a lot. During these bad moments, you do realise the people who are supporting you."
