Nice are admirers of the 26-year-old and remain in the hunt for Christie's signature after having a previous bid turned down.
At the time, they were managed by Patrick Vieira, who has been named Crystal Palace's new boss.
The newspaper says Vieira will make landing Christie a priority for the London club.
