Manchester City have come to a pre-agreement with LA Galaxy youngster Alejandro Alcala.
The 15-year-old is presently involved with the MLS club's reserve squad.
Alacala is seen as a star for the future and ESPN reports that City are close to securing his signature.
The attacking midfielder was born in California, but has played for Mexico at youth levels so far.
It is unclear if City plan to integrate Alcala into their youth setup or loan him back out to an MLS side.
