Olympique Marseille president Pablo Longoria is delighted with their deal for Matteo Guendouzi.
The Arsenal midfielder signed for OM earlier this week on a season-long loan with the option to be bought outright next summer.
For Longoria, it's the end of a successful four-year pursuit, having first spotted Guendouzi in March, 2017.
L'Equipe reports Longoria had initiated contacts with Guendouzi a year ago, after seeing him play for the first time in 2017 with the France youth team.
Guendouzi also traveled to Marseille in May to meet with the president and coach Jorge Sampaoli, where the two parties very quickly came to an agreement.
L'OM then only had to negotiate terms with Arsenal, which had already decided to make Guendouzi available this summer.
