New Everton manager Rafa Benitez believes Duncan Ferguson has a key role to play in his backroom staff.
The Toffees legend is set to continue at the club as a coach, despite the departure of manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Benitez will integrate Ferguson into his team, as he believes the former striker's experience and passion for the club are crucial assets.
"I think Duncan will be fundamental for us," Benitez told the club's website.
"He knows the Club, the knows the fans, he knows the mentality.
"He can work with us [the coaching staff]. We can learn from him and he can learn from us, with the experience we have in different countries and leagues."
