Tottenham and Barcelona have made a move for Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne.

Corriere dello Sport says Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis faces a battle to keep hold of Euro 2020 star Insigne, with Barcelona and Tottenham circling as a contract stand-off looms.

The Napoli skipper has spent his entire career with the iconic club, but with only a year left on his deal, the winger reportedly desires an improvement on his £4.3m-a-year deal in exchange for his long-term future.

If Napoli can't stump-up the cash Insigne has options elsewhere, with Barcelona and Spurs have made contact with the player's agent.

Nuno Espirito Santo is looking to build his squad at Spurs after Daniel Levy finally scored the north Londoners a new manager, and Insigne could be an experienced attacking addition.
