The Telegraph says he is set to quit the club. The report says Cooper is close to agreeing a mutual termination of his contract with an official announcement likely later this week.
It adds that Cooper is leaving "amid concerns over the future direction of the club".
The news comes just a day after Cooper, 41, refused to engage with talk over his future.
