Tottenham striker Harry Kane played down any personal battles ahead of England's clash with Italy in the Euro 2020 final.

Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini put the boot into Tottenham in 2018 after Juventus dumped them out of the Champions League, accusing Spurs of bottling it.

At the time, the Italian said: “It's the history of Tottenham. They always create many chances and score so much but in the end, they are always missing something to arrive at the end."

Kane was reminded of his opponent's barbs but said: “My focus isn't on him. My focus is on the game as a whole.

“The battle isn't me against Chiellini. The battle is going to be our team against theirs and it's going to be tough.

“Obviously, I remember it when it happened. But he's a respected footballer and a fantastic player.

“I'm looking forward to another battle. As a player, you want to pit yourselves against the best and the two centre-halves Italy have are definitely that.

“I'm looking forward to it."
