RANAU: A four -wheel drive driver died after his vehicle skidded and overturned in Kampung Kologon, here, Wednesday morning.
In the 9am incident, the victim, Amin Sarigol, 56, was confirmed dead at the scene and was reportedly trapped under the vehicle.
A spokesman for the Ranau Fire and Rescue Chief, Ridwan Mohd Taib (pic) said they received a report of the incident at 9.13am before deploying 10 personnel and officers to the scene.
He said upon arriving at the scene which is located three kilometers from the Ranau Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), the victim was found trapped under his vehicle.
“The operation was carried out immediately and the victim was successfully removed a few minutes later.
“However, the victim was confirmed dead by paramedics who were present to assist at the scene,” he said.
According to him, the victim’s body was then handed over to the police for further action and the operation ended at 9.50 am.
