The same agents are working on placing both Raphael Varane and Kieran Trippier at Manchester United, it has been revealed.
United are in talks with Real Madrid for centre-half Varane and Atletico Madrid for fullback Trippier.
AS says Varane was willing to consider signing a new deal with Real and stay in Madrid this summer. Indeed, the Frenchman was counting on new coach Carlo Ancelotti to convince president Florentino Perez to up his original new contract offer.
However, no improved deal was tabled and as such Varane is now prepared to leave for United.
And driving the deal is management firm, CAA Base, which represent Varane and also Trippier, who like the France international is the subject of intense interest from United.
Interestingly, CAA Base also take care of Ancelotti, but such a relationship couldn't assist Varane in talks with Madrid.
