Arsenal and Tottenham are emerging as the two teams with a serious interest in AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
The central midfielder, who can play in front of the back four or further up the pitch, impressed for the Italian giants in Serie A and the Europa League last term.
And the Ivory Coast midfielder's agent confirmed Tottenham's interest in his client.
"Today, having a contract expiring in 2022 with an important player, one of Milan's strongest, is a danger. Here is a basic error by the club," the player's agent Massimo Brambati said.
"Now Kessie is the one who holds the knife by the handle. He can decide what is best for him rather than the club.
"I know that in addition to Inter [Milan] there are two Premier League teams interested in him, including Tottenham."
But Spurs are not alone, with Gazzetta dello Sport claiming Arsenal also have a huge interest in the midfielder.
The two north London rivals could be set for a summer battle to sign the 24-year-old.
