Former Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastian Frey is baffled by the decision to cut loose Franck Ribery.
Ribery has been allowed to come off contract by the Viola today.
“I don't understand the club's strategy, Ribery still wants to help, but he hasn't received any information from the club," Frey told Radio Toscana.
Frey also read a message that was sent to him by his compatriot: “I want to stay at Fiorentina, that's my priority.
"I feel well in Florence and with Fiorentina fans."
