Barcelona great Xavi says Pedri should play for Spain in the Olympics.
Barca want Spain to leave Pedri at home for the Tokyo Games, though the RFEF are insisting he go.
Al Sadd coach Xavi told Mundo Deportivo: "If I were Pedri, I would go to the Games. I had the opportunity to go at the time and they are opportunities that do not return. He is 18 years old and the footballer wants to play, it is a unique opportunity to go to the Games.
"If you ask Pedri, he will tell you that he is excited and wants to go to the Games. Enjoy, he is 18 years old, if he were more veteran he would have to rest.
