Newcastle call Tottenham about defender Carter-Vickers
Newcastle United are showing a serious willingness to sign Cameron Carter-Vickers from Tottenham.
According to 90Min, the youngster caught the Magpies' eye during a loan spell at Bournemouth last season.
Carter-Vickers has 12 months remaining on his contract with Spurs, but he has been involved in their pre-season matches so far this term.
The 23-year-old centre-back is wanted by other clubs, including Celtic in Scotland and several MLS sides in the United States.
The American, however, wants to remain in Europe for the foreseeable future.
