Olympique Marseille signing Konrad de la Fuente says his connection with Barcelona will always remain.
Konrad has spent the last eight years at the Catalan club, progressing through the academy to the first team, and says he hopes to be back in the future.
"A lot of children dream of becoming footballers from a very young age," he wrote. "Childhood innocence means we fail to appreciate the true scope of the huge efforts that we need to make to achieve our dreams.
"Today I must make one of those sacrifices I mentioned, and say goodbye to a club that has given me everything and to say farewell to my family for the last eight years, to say goodbye to FCB.
"I want to thank FCB for making me so happy during these years, and most of all I want to thank the teammates with whom I have shared a dressing room and all the people I have met. You are the true identity of this club.
"I promise I will always wear the badge on my chest and wherever I go I shall share the values that FCB has taught me with such affection and dedication.
"I hope our paths cross again someday.
"Eternally grateful,
"Konrad de la Fuente"
