Newcastle United are making a move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.
The 21-year-old was a shining light at West Brom last campaign and caught the eye at the Hawthorns despite the Baggies eventual relegation.
The Northern Echo says with gametime unlikely at Stamford Bridge, the Blues are willing to sanction a loan move for Gallagher who made 30 appearances for the Brummie-based side last season.
Newcastle have discussed a possible year-long deal and hope to acquire the England under-20 international after missing out on signing him last campaign.
Gallagher opted for a move to West Brom rather than Newcastle 12 months ago.
