Former Tottenham goalkeeper Erik Thorstvedt has weighed into the debate around wantaway striker Harry Kane.
Kane has stayed away from Spurs training this week as he seeks to force through a move to Manchester City.
Thorstvedt told VG: "It is a classic scenario: A player wants to leave, but the club refuses to sell. So then the player must resort to other means.
"The big question was whether Kane was the type to resort to such means as not attending training.
"Now he has probably decided to leave because he has actually taken the step that many have taken before him. It has been seen so many times, and it is a fixed pattern."
