Southampton forward Ché Adams is enjoying his partnership with new teammate Adam Armstrong.

After losing Danny Ings to Aston Villa, the Saints reacted quickly and secured young hotshot Armstrong from Blackburn Rovers.

Speaking after their 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday, Adams spoke highly of Armstrong and their partnership.

"Obviously with Prowsey, Ori [Romeu] and the others it's second nature for me," said the Scotland international, per the club website.

"With Adam [Armstrong] it's great to link up with him and we can only get better as games go on. It's only our second game together. We'll keep doing it and we'll keep pushing forwards.

"When they got their goal we didn't stand off them and we kept the pressure on high. We had a couple of chances towards the end where we could've gone and won it but as I said it's another positive and another point against a big team.

"That's what we worked on from last week [the second half performance]. We gave up some easy goals and we all knew that.

"It was about staying on top and not switching off at times and I think we did that well today."
