Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira was happy with Conor Gallagher for their 0-0 draw with Brentford.
Vieira praised the performance of on-loan Chelsea midfielder Gallagher in the goalless draw with Brentford, and pointed to Palace's attacking as the area to improve.
“I think Conor had a really good game," Vieira said in his post-match press conference. “I think he was unlucky not to score the chance that he created. He was full of energy on the field.
“The club worked really hard to bring him to Palace, and there was a couple of clubs around him. I was really pleased we convinced him to come to us, he will be an important player for this football club.
“This was his first game – I think at times he was up and down physically, but overall I think he had a really solid performance and I was really happy in the first and second-half.
“But this is a side of the game we need to work on. Looking at the way we approach the game, the way we play with intensity, we try to get out from the pressure and play the second ball. I think the teams performance was positive.
“I think it's working on the last 30-yards, on our positioning inside the box, having more players inside the box. So that element of the game will need to improve, and we'll work on that."
