SHAH ALAM, Aug 7 — A total of 3.44 million people in Selangor, or 72.3 per cent of the state population, have received their first dose, says Selangor Menteri Besar.

In a Facebook post today, Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari stated that a cumulative total of 5.1 million vaccine doses had been administered to the Selangor people via the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).

An infographic shared on his post showed that 1.67 million individuals in Selangor or 35.1 per cent of the state population, have completed two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine as of today.

Amirudin said an additional 238,316 doses were delivered via the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax).

Earlier today, the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) shared in an infographic on Twitter stating the recorded daily vaccination rate in Selangor on August 6 is at 108,304 out of the total 447,035 doses of vaccines administered nationwide.
