Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists their clash with Burnley isn't about revenge.

The Reds lost to Burnley 1-0 at home in January which was their first Premier League home defeat for 68 matches, a run dating back to April 2017.

When asked if revenge against Burnley was on his mind, Klopp told his pre-match press conference: "Not in the moment sitting here. I didn't even think about it. Now you told me, it's something.

"It was a strange one but yes, we lost it. Burnley won it. That's how football is but it's nothing to do with the game now.

"Sean (Dyche) is doing a brilliant job, he's set them up not only being annoying but it can be annoying as well.

"(They are) good at set pieces and a clear way of playing - that's what we prepare for, not for any kind of revenge or whatever. We want to have a positive game and that only works when you play really good."

The German added: "We will do everything as we have the first game in front of the home crowd for 520-something days I think and we want to enjoy it.

"Football, it's only possible to be enjoyed when you play in a positive way and just go for it.

"There are no guarantees out there, not at all, especially not against Burnley because they can make life really uncomfortable. Because they defend well, they have really good footballers in the team."
