Norwich City are closing on a deal for Manchester United fullback Brandon Williams.

Sky Sports says Williams is close to joining Norwich on a season-long loan deal.

The Canaries are said to be in advanced talks to sign the defender but a move is unlikely to be completed this week, according to Sky Sports.

Williams has been a long-term target for Southampton and Newcastle but Norwich are hopeful to win the race to secure his services for the remainder of the season.

The 20-year-old's contract isn't set to expire until 2024 and United are said to be reluctant to see him leave, even temporarily.
