The midfielder is out of contract in January and may be tempted by a move to England.
According to Sky Sports, the 26-year-old has rejected contract offers from Celtic, and Bournemouth are favourites for his signature.
Even though Burnley are in the Premier League, Christie may see himself having more playtime for Scott Parker's outfit in the Championship instead.
Christie has been with Celtic since 2015, scoring 42 goals and helping them to win significant silverware in that time.
