Sporting CP are eager to wrap up a deal for Everton goalkeeper Joao Virginia this week.
Virginia is yet to arrive in Lisbon, though there is an expectation a deal will be closed before the weekend.
The Portugal U21 keeper will join Sporting on a straight loan as a replacement for Luís Maximiano. Maximiano's sale to Granada was confirmed this morning.
Only minor details need to be ironed out between Sporting and Everton, says O Jogo.
Virginia will arrive as the prime backup for senior goalkeeper Antonio Adan.
