Ben White's agent has revealed Brighton drove a hard bargain as they sold their star defender to Arsenal.
The Gunners paid £50 million for the England centre-back.
Agent Alex Levack told Sky Sports: "Maybe the biggest challenge really was agreeing a fee between the two clubs and a structure of the deal.
"Brighton didn't really want to sell and were not willing to give a valuation of the player.
"With (Albion chairman) Tony Bloom being a poker player and a professional gambler, he's a very hard man to read.
"But I think both clubs dealt with the utmost integrity and it was pretty smooth.
"And I think the outcome was best for all parties really."
