Arsenal have suffered a triple injury blow going into their Premier League opener against Brentford.

The Mirror says key players Thomas Partey and Gabriel will not take part in the opening matches of the Premier League.

While back-up striker Eddie Nketiah will also be absent through an ankle injury which will see him miss four weeks.

The Englishman suffered the problem in a pre-season friendly against Chelsea, which Arsenal lost 2-1.

As for Partey, he also sustained a similar injury in the same match and could be back in training in three weeks if all goes to plan.

Gabriel suffered a knee problem while with Brazil at the Olympics and is currently being assessed.
