Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce is eager for his side to sign Hamza Choudhury from Leicester City.
The defensive midfielder is down the pecking order at the Foxes under Brendan Rodgers.
According to the Daily Mail, he has a keen admirer in Bruce, who believes Choudhury can add much needed intensity to his midfield.
The 23-year-old was targeted by Bruce in January, but no deal materialszed.
However, Newcastle want Bruce to trim his first team squad before making any more additions.
