Reading have signed Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater on a season-long loan.
The 31-year-old failed to live up to expectations after joining Chelsea from Leicester City in 2017, having spent time with Burnley, Aston Villa and Kasımpaşa over the past couple of years.
He will now try and bolster Reading's promotion push by becoming their sixth signing of the summer.
Royals boss Veljko Paunovic said: "Danny's talent and ability is unquestionable and to bring a player of his calibre to our club is extremely exciting.
"A proven winner, he is a player whose achievements on the pitch can inspire those around him and help to drive this club forward from the centre of midfield.
