Southampton are on the brink of signing Torino defender Lyanco.
The Brazil international could make the move to Southampton in the next 48 hours with negotiations at an advanced stage.
Lyanco was not considered by Toro for yesterday's opening day defeat to Atalanta.
He is expected to sign for Southampton for £6-8m.
Saints boss Ralph Hasenuttl admitted on Friday: "This is a position on the pitch where we must immediately run for cover and I can guarantee that a player will arrive."
