Arsenal are set to make Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard the richest transfer in Norwegian football history.
VG says Arsenal and Real Madrid have reached terms over a fee of €30-35m for the Norway captain.
As such, he will become by far the most expensive Norwegian transfer of all time ahead of Sander Berge, who cost around €20m when he was bought by Sheffield United in January last year.
There is an expectation Odegaard's arrival will be announced before the weekend.
The Gunners are rushing to close the deal in order to have Odegaard registered in time for Sunday's London derby against Chelsea.
