Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva is a surprise target for Arsenal.

The Mirror says Arsenal are exploring a shock move for Manchester City midfielder Bernardo as boss Mikel Arteta looks to add more creativity to his side.

Bernardo is one of the players whose future at the Etihad is in doubt following Jack Grealish's £100million arrival.

And boss Pep Guardiola admitted on Friday that he was open to the Portuguese and two three others leaving if the right offers came in for them.

Bernardo had been keen on a move to Spain, with Atletico Madrid and Barcelona both looking at signing him this summer.

But the financial situations at the La Liga clubs means they could struggle to afford him and that has opened the door to Arsenal.
