Arsenal are weighing up a move for Schalke striker Matthew Hoppe.

The Sun on Sunday says Arsenal are ready to enter the transfer race for Hoppe.

The Gunners are said to be targeting a new striker as Alexandre Lacazette has entered the final year of his deal at the Emirates.

Hoppe, 20, scored six goals in 22 Bundesliga appearances last season, while he was previously on the books at Barcelona's famed La Masia academy.
