Former Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has hinted at rowing with Lionel Messi during his time in charge.
Valverde, despite winning the LaLiga with Barca, didn't always see eye-to-eye with Messi, now of PSG.
He told ETB: "Those things cannot be said, they are part of the mystery. It is good that it is like that, it is better that people do not know how we are and think that they know everything. It is better that they do not know the truth."
On his time as Barca coach, Valverde added: "I did not hesitate when they called me. I saw it as an option and an experience that I had to know what it was. My departure? It happened and that's it ... ".
