England coach Gareth Southgate insists Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood is in his plans.
Southgate has ruled out an England Under-21 call-up for Mason Greenwood as he promised to take personal control of his international development.
The Three Lions boss said: “Normally, I don't get involved in the Under-21s but at this moment in time he's beyond that.
“I want to take a little bit more control of his development internationally."
Jamaica are keen for Greenwood to be part of their squad for the Qatar World Cup and players under the age of 21 can switch allegiances if they have played less than three competitive games.
But Southgate added: “The dual nationality is a bit of a red herring.
“He 100 percent wants to play for England and there is no suggestion there is anything else there."
