Jordi Cruyff is beginning work back at Barcelona this week.
The former Barca striker is taking up the post of technical director after leaving his coaching position at FC Shenzen.
AS says Cruyff will be part of Barca's delegation in Salzburg for Wednesday's preseason friendly against RB Salzburg.
Jordi will collaborate directly with sports vice-president, Rafa Yuste, and the football director, Mateu Alemany.
Jordi is the son of Barca great Johan Cruyff and played for the Blaugrana from 1993-96 before leaving for Manchester United.
