Brandon Williams remains determined to leave Manchester United.
The Manchester Evening News says Williams still wants to leave United on a season-long loan despite injury to fellow full-back Alex Telles.
Telles is expected to be sidelined until September with an ankle injury and is on crutches and wearing a protective boot.
Williams, 20, only played 14 times last season and amid interest from Southampton in a loan move and the left-back wants regular playing time in the forthcoming campaign.
Williams only started five times last season and was denied a mid-season loan after the club sold Timothy Fosu-Mensah to Bayer Leverkusen and loaned Ethan Laird to MK Dons.
United agreed a new contract with Williams until 2024 last year.
