Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists he doesn't judge the big spending of rival clubs.
Klopp was asked about Cristiano Ronaldo's situation, with the Juventus striker in talks to return to Manchester United.
He said, "I watched that like a football supporter and it is not about me to judge that. If other clubs can do this, it is not a business of the future. It is not now and immediately.
"That is how some clubs are working and that is fine. There must be different ways, a team two or three years later and you need success. it is nice if you can win trophies, but even with the best squad in the world it is not possible every year.
"You need to make sure you develop as a team and club and that is what we did."
