Barcelona president Joan Laporta has declared it's now a new era for the club after Lionel Messi's departure.

It was announced by Barca yesterday that Messi was leaving the club after new contract talks fell through this week.
Addressing the media this morning, Laporta paid tribute to the club's former captain before insisting now was the time for a new era, likening the situation to when Johan Cruyff left.
