Former Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi is in talks with Genoa.
The stopper is a free agent after leaving relegated outfit Schalke last season.
Italian transfer expert Nicolò Schira reports Mustafi is in advanced negotiations with Genoa for a contract until June 2025.
It's a return to the city of Genoa, if not the same club, as Mustafi played for Sampdoria from 2012-14 before his transfer to Valencia.
Mustafi, however, is now ready to return to Serie A for the new season.
