Arsenal have been encouraged in their long-term interest for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar.
Lyon coach Peter Bosz admits Aouar very possibly could leave the club before the start of the season.
Aouar has been a long-time target for Arsenal and was heavily touted to arrive during last summer's window.
However, the Gunners ultimately opted to sign Thomas Partey, with Aouar remaining at the French club.
A year on, manager Mikel Arteta remains in the market for an attacking midfielder and the 23-year-old continues to be a man in demand.
Bosz suggests that until the last minute of the window, there is a chance the Frenchman could depart.
He explained: “He can leave, this is modern football. Until the last moment, he can leave."
