Italian giants Lazio are hoping to secure an agreement with Liverpool for Xherdan Shaqiri.
The Swiss winger made it clear in the summer that he wishes to move on from the Anfield club for regular football.
However, no club has come close to making an offer that Liverpool may find acceptable.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Biancocelesti are showing a serious interest in the attacker.
Xhaqiri only made five Premier League starts last term, but impressed with Swizterland at Euro 2020.
The 29-year-old wants to play, and would get a lot more first team opportunities in Serie A with Lazio.
