Manchester United have decided to send Amad away on-loan.
The Manchester Evening News says Amad will leave United on loan before the end of the window.
Amad signed for the club in a deal worth £37m at the start of the year and has missed pre-season after playing for Ivory Coast during the Olympics.
Facundo Pellistri has already joined Alaves on a season-long loan and Amad looks set to follow.
The winger will be part of Ivory Coast's African Cup of Nations squad for January.
