TF1 reports Marseille are wrapping up a deal for the Castilla centre-forward.
Ruiz will sign for OM before being loaned out immediately to NEC Nijmegen.
NEC technical director Ted van Leeuwen has confirmed talks with OM about a loan arrangement, though insists nothing is yet settled.
Ruiz, 21, stands at 1.98m tall and has been a regular with Castilla.
