Mikel Arteta has hinted Joe Willock is set to leave Arsenal.
The English midfielder was omitted from Sunday's friendly with Tottenham Hotspur.
Newcastle United have reportedly agreed a £25m deal for Willock, per Sky Sports.
And when asked why Rob Holding and Willock were absent from the Spurs clash, Arteta gave different answers.
He said: "Two different reasons. With Rob, he was not available, he wasn't fit enough to play today. With Joe, we will explain the reasons when we can."
Pushed on whether it means Willock is leaving the club, Arteta said: "It's all I can say now, when I can say more I will let you know."
