SHAH ALAM, Aug 27 — A total of 405 applications for the Selangor Special Needs Children (AnIS) assistance have been approved from January until July 2021, says Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud.
The state executive councillor for public health said the approved applications are from the education category in which 322 applications are currently at the phase of disbursing the payment directly to the education centres.
Meanwhile, she said, for the equipment category, a total of 83 applications are in the process of purchasing and it will be sent directly to the applicants.
According to Dr Siti Mariah, the 405 applications were approved from 2,817 applications received online with 2,234 applications were declined and 209 applications are still under review.
“The applications were declined due to several reasons such as no documents submission, incomplete documents as well as does not meet the conditions,” she said during the Selangor State Legislative Assembly here today.
She said this while answering a question from Permatang state assemblyman Rozana Zainal Abidin on the number of AnIS recipients and the total funds allocated for the assistance.
