Chelsea are looking likely to miss out on Jules Kounde from Sevilla.

While the club are committing to a mega money deal that would bring Romelu Lukaku back to England from Inter Milan, their move for Kounde is not going as well.

According to The Guardian, the Blues are unable to free up a space in their squad by jettisoning Kurt Zouma.

The centre-back was unwilling to join West Ham United, while he also rejected being a makeweight in the Kounde deal.

The French defender has a release clause of €80 million, but Chelsea will not pay that much for the 22-year-old.

Unless they can find a player that interests Sevilla to exchange, they may have to move on to a more attainable target.
