Daniel James and Jesse Lingard are available from Manchester United.

The Manchester Evening News says United are open to selling Jesse Lingard before Tuesday's transfer deadline as they look to trim their squad size following the re-signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Lingard, 28, has entered the last year of his United contract but United have not received a concrete offer for the £25million-rated forward.

United are aiming to shift two forwards following the imminent return of Ronaldo, with Leeds the frontrunners to sign James.

United are hopeful Edinson Cavani will stay despite his unhappiness at the decision taken by Premier League clubs to prevent internationals from playing in red list countries. The Uruguayan football association confirmed the cancellation of Cavani's call-up for next month's World Cup qualifiers this morning.
