Real Madrid have denied reports of tabling a club record offer for PSG striker Kylian Mbappe.

Marca had stated Real Madrid president Florentino Perez had made a bid of €160m for the France international this week.

But this morning, a club statement read: "Real Madrid has not made an offer to PSG or the player.

"Given the information released in recent hours about an alleged deal between Real Madrid and PSG over the player Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid declare that the reporting is downright false.

"Real Madrid regrets the dissemination of this type of information and that it has not been verified with the parties."
