West Ham United star Pablo Fornals has thanked staff and his teammates after securing his first Spain call-up.
The midfielder was on standby for Euro 2020, but did not make it into Luis Enrique's main squad for the tournament.
Now he gets a chance to show his quality as Spain prepare for a series of World Cup Qualifiers during the international break.
The Spaniard said, per the Evening Standard: "It is massive for me but it is not just for me, it shows the great shape the team is in right now, how we are playing and working.
"It is Pablo Fornals going to play for Spain because I am Spanish, but in a way it is a call-up for the whole team. Everyone is in great shape and has a chance to go to their national team.
"It is really nice for us and our fans to know we have great players who are international players."
